P-40 Warhawk GP/EP SCALE 18% ARF

The P-40 Warhawk from Phoenix is a prototypical warbird with a 2.04m wingspan. The model is constructed using an extremely lightweight and high-strength wooden construction and is designed for both internal combustion and electric propulsion.

The Original
The P-40 Warhawk was an American single-engine, single-seat, all-metal fighter aircraft that entered service in 1938. The P-40 was a modification of the earlier Curtiss P-36, which shortened the development time for the new aircraft and allowed for rapid production. The Warhawk was used by most Allied powers during World War II and remained in service on the front lines until the end of the war. After the P51 and the P47, it was the third most produced American fighter.

The model - absolutely true to the original
This model from Phoenix is in no way inferior to its prototype. Many beautiful details make the P-40 look like the original when viewed on the ground. And also in the air the model gives an absolutely "scales" flight picture, which is hardly to be distinguished from the flight picture of the man-carrying prototype. The cockpit, pilot and instruments in the cabin are also realistically reproduced.

Wooden construction with an enormously high degree of prefabrication
The model is built using extremely lightweight and high-strength balsa/plywood construction. The laser-cut construction impresses with an enormously high degree of prefabrication, which reduces the construction effort almost to the installation of the drive and electronics. There is plenty of room under the large removable canopy for the installation of electronics. The P-40 Warhawk is completely covered with foil.

Electric retractable landing gear included
The model comes with an electrically retractable main landing gear and a nose gear that is also electrically retractable. The landing gear legs are made entirely of CNC machined metal.

Electric or combustion engine
This model can do both! The design is prepared for both electric propulsion and internal combustion engine propulsion. So the only question is: killer sound or would you rather go for absolute efficiency?

Features:
- Electric or combustion engine operation possible
