Quido is a kit of a small electric model airplane that will fit in any car boot. The individual parts are largely prefabricated from balsa and must be assembled using the enclosed building instructions. The rear fuselage section consists of a single carbon fibre tube, which provides for a light construction of the whole model. The tail unit is glued firmly to the fuselage and is not removable, which is not necessary given the compact size. The wing is built in one piece and attached to the fuselage with rubber rings. This ensures quick and easy assembly when preparing for flight, plus in the event of a rough landing the wings will slide on the fuselage or detach from the fuselage without damage. The wings and tail surfaces are covered with iron-on film, which the modeller applies at his own discretion and taste. Quido is suitable for modellers who have already made their first experiences with a wooden kit of our free flight models (e.g. Lilienthal 31 / 32) and is an optimal introduction to RC model flying. The model kit contains all the wooden parts needed to build the fuselage and wings, a carbon fibre tube for the rear fuselage section, linkages and small parts as well as detailed building instructions. Suitable drives are tail-mounted external rotor motors with an output of 100-150 watts at 2s Lipo.
