The original man-carrying aeroplane S.E.5 (Scout Experimental 5) was developed by Henry P. Folland, J. Kenworthy and Major F.W. Goodden at the Royal Aircraft Factory in Farnborough for the installation of the new 150hp Hispano-Suiza 8a V8 engine.
The first prototype flew on 28 November 1916 and the model was designed to look as true to the original as possible and to have the best flight characteristics.
Wonderful scale details round off the overall picture of this fantastic model perfectly. The model also has boot-friendly dimensions.
