From the 1950s to the 1980s, the A-4 Skyhawk was successfully deployed by the US Marines as a carrier-based multi-purpose fighter-bomber. Aircraft of this type continued to be flown in some countries into the 21st century. This particularly manoeuvrable jet became famous thanks to the spectacular flight demonstrations of the Blue Angels, the US Navy's aerobatic team. This Blue Angels aircraft, from a series of different A-4 Skyhawk variants, is the model for the aircraft presented here.

The model
The model, made of foam parts, consists of pre-painted individual components equipped with servos. The individual components, consisting of the fuselage, wing, canopy, tailplane and fin, impress with their fine detailing, such as planking transitions, maintenance hatches, trim tabs, etc. All that is required to complete the model is to glue the main components together and fit the linkage rods for the ailerons and elevators.
The low weight and compact size result in excess power, which creates the desired jet feeling. Fast rolls, wide loops or tight turns underline the dynamic flight characteristics and get the pilot's pulse racing.
