ALPHA 1500 is no longer alone in the sky! The elegant motor glider is joined by the durable BETA 1400 flying model. This reliable and powerful training and practice powered glider is ideal for novice pilots, whom it guides from learning to land to acrobatic figures and thermal soaring. Equally, it delights hobby pilots for whom it offers a space-saving and easily transportable model for great, relaxed model flying.

BETA 1400 is built from highly resistant, extruded polypropylene EPP and is powered by a brushless motor. Thanks to the motor placed on the pylon behind the wing, it resists rough handling very well and can also withstand stick landings, which would damage the propeller on classic models with the motor in the nose of the fuselage.

The brushless motor (with rotary shroud, CD2622) is mounted on the fuselage, at the pylon behind the wing with a fixed propeller. In the fuselage made of EPP foam is the 20Amp regulator and servos. Rudder, tailplane are also made of EPP foam. The canopy is removable with magnetic fasteners. The two-piece wing is also made of EPP foam. The ailerons are moved by 2 servos connected in the wing with short linkages. The wing halves are plugged with carbon tube connectors. The tailplanes in classic arrangement are made of EPP foam and are connected with Bowden cables. The engine is cooled by the airstream flowing through the pylon and the engine openings.

To prepare for the first flight it is necessary to glue the tailplane (with medium liquid super glue), put on the wing halves, switch on the receiver and connect the drive accumulator. Control is with ailerons, rudder, elevator and motor control.

To control the model you need at least a 4-channel RC set. In this case, both servos of the ailerons are connected to one channel using the Y-cable (part of the kit). When connecting the receiver, follow the operating instructions for your RC set. It is ideal if you have at least a 5-channel RC computer set that allows independent operation of the aileron servos. In this case you can set differentiation of the aileron deflections; at the beginning we recommend 50% - i.e. the downward aileron deflections are half the upward deflections. It is also useful to mix the ailerons so that they go up at the same time, in the function of aerodynamic brake for the purpose of landing. You will appreciate this on smaller landing surfaces and especially when flying on slopes. When adjusting the aerodynamic brakes, note that even at full deflection the ailerons can still make a way upwards.

BETA 1400 is suitable for novice flyers - we always recommend - under the supervision of an experienced pilot to make the first launches to enjoy a relaxing time model flying. The flight characteristics are pleasant. The model introduces you to complete control of the model around all three axes by controlling the rudder, ailerons and tailplane. This experience is useful when you start flying your first acro model or (semi)scale model. By changing the length ratios of the servo and rudder levers you can adjust the control surface travels. The novice pilot starts with small deflections; the experienced pilot sets large deflections that also allow a bit of basic acrobatics - loops, barrel rolls and turns BETA manages quite well! The power of the motor is sufficient for a very steep climb. The model is not overpowered, which could cause difficulties for novice pilots. BETA 1400 can take advantage of weak thermals and stay in the sky for a long time.

Adjusting the speed controller Beta 1400 Mk.II (with transparent cabin)
The speed controller allows you to switch the propeller brake on or off. To adjust, follow these steps:
1. start with the transmitter and model switched off. Switch on the transmitter and set the throttle stick to full throttle.
2. Then connect the drive accumulator to the speed controller.
3. After about 5 seconds you will hear a long beep and then a short beep.
5. Pull the throttle stick on the transmitter all the way down.
4. you will hear long and short beeps, then a melody and long beeps. These signals mean that the brake setting has been changed. The speed controller returns to normal operating status and you can fly.
6. Following the above procedure, you can change the speed controller setting from "brake on" to "brake off" or vice versa at any time.

Adjustment of the speed controller Beta 1400 1400 Mk.III (with transparent cabin and wing fixing screws)
The speed controller allows the propeller brake to be switched on or off. When adjusting, follow these steps:
1. start with the transmitter and model switched off. Switch on the transmitter and set the throttle stick to full glass.
2. Connect the drive accumulator to the speed controller. After a short moment you will hear two beeps.
3. Pull the throttle stick on the transmitter all the way down.
4. a beep sounds. This signal means that the brake setting has been changed. The speed controller returns to normal operating status and you can fly.
5. following the above procedure, you can change the speed controller setting from "brake on" to "brake off" or vice versa at any time.
