The competition sailer SB 9 of the academic gliding group of the TH Braunschweig was created in 1969 and served with its 22 m span as a template for the again enlarged SB10. The first flight of the SB 9 was on January 23, 1969 and at that time the design and performance of the SB 9 was far ahead of its time. To date, the SB 9 has lost none of its charm and is still one of the most elegant designs on the sailplane sky. We have a semi-scale version in full-GFK execution launched The scale is 1: 5.
