The SAITO FG engines are four-stroke gasoline engines carefully manufactured especially for model airplanes, combining high performance and stability with low weight.

The engine is based on the glow ignition engines with a few detail changes, a petrol carburettor and an electronic ignition system.
This enables a high fuel yield with lower fuel costs and less model pollution.

Special features: Cylinder and cylinder head are one component, this design saves weight, prevents distortion and improves cooling.
- The cylinder running surface is hard chrome-plated and designed without a liner
- High-silicon aluminum piston with piston ring
- Robust connecting rod forged from high-strength aluminum
- High-strength crankshaft made from forged chrome-molybdenum steel, 2 ball bearings
- Camshaft, space-saving gearbox at the front and steep cam flanks for optimum filling
- High cylinder efficiency due to hipped-roof combustion chamber
- The exhaust noise corresponds to that of a typical four-stroke engine.
- The carburetor was specially designed for four-stroke petrol engines
- Electronic battery ignition system for spark plug operation especially for this engine
- Operation with normal two-stroke fuel mixture (e.g. moped or lawn mower)

As the engine can kick back when started by hand, an electric starter is strongly recommended to start the engine in order to prevent damage to the engine.
